Codeathon is a competitive programming contest which be the second major event of the Elicit‘18, after the Hackathon. During this event participants will be requested to bring their own laptops and get themselves settled in the rooms which will be allotted to them as this won’t be an online competition, which anyone can participate from their respective rooms. The codeathon for Elicit ‘18 will be divided in 2 Rounds. Each round will be of 3 hours, having 5 questions in each of them. The top 50% of the teams will qualify for the second round of the event, which will be the final round. The top 3 teams in the final round will be awarded the decided gifts, and prize money.
ROUND 1
Rules:
  1. There can be max 3 members in a team. 5 Questions will be there in total, and all will be available to the competetors right from the start.
  2. Time: 3 Hours.
  3. All the Submissions must satisfy the all test cases and constraints of the question.
  4. Team of 3 people can be formed at max and at least 1.
  5. Any Submission after the completion of the time will be rejected.
  6. No Internet Help is allowed, anyone doing so will be disqualified.
  7. In-Classroom competition, so no one can leave the room under any circumstances.
  8. Any other tasks like Copying Code from the other teams, disturbing other teams, or any discussion with anyone outside their own team, use of external drives will lead to disqualification of the team at that very point of time.
  9. The decisions of the organizers are final and irrevocable.
Results:
  1. For every correct submission 20 points will be awarded.
  2. For every wrong submission 1 point will be deducted.
  3. The team with first correct submission for a question will be given a bonus of 5 points.
  4. The faster the submission the higher is the rank of the team even if the points are same.
  5. The team with the maximum points is the winner.
  6. 50% of the number of teams will qualify for the Round 2 based on the ranks.

ROUND 2

  1. There will be 5 questions in total. We'll be releasing all the problems at the begining.
  2. Duration of the competition: 3 Hours.
  3. In-Classroom competition, so no one can leave the room under any circumstances.
  4. No Internet Help is allowed, anyone found doing so will be disqualified.
